Joan Trimble is a result driven trial attorney and legal adviser with 20 years of experience guiding her clients through litigation and providing consultation for the prevention of liability exposure. Her practice includes the defense of mental health care practitioners and facilities, substance use disorder facilities, elder care/dependent adult care facilities, as well as commercial businesses and religious, educational, and non-profit institutions.  Ms. Trimble has successfully defended clients in jury trials and administrative hearings and has resolved a multitude of cases on topics ranging from wrongful death, abuse, professional negligence, and catastrophic injuries. She works in what the firm affectionately refers to as “the Psych Department” and in that capacity provides advice and defense to psychotherapists, as well as seminars on law and ethics for the practice of psychotherapy.

 

Ms. Trimble’s interests outside of law include reading and writing novels and poetry. She is also an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, having obtained her black belt under Rubens “Cobrinha” Maciel.
