Non-Profit and Religious

CTSC founding partner Peter Callahan began working with and representing the Roman Catholic Bishop of Orange from the inception of the Diocese. During the more than 30 years since then, the partners at CTSC steadily expanded their representation of non-profit and religious organizations to include numerous schools, churches, orders, charities and foundations. Sought after by self-insureds and carriers alike, CTSC has handled extremely high profile matters involving claims of sexual abuse and misconduct, employment matters, premises claims and even complicated transactional matters involving the purchase and/or sale of property and assets. In addition to experience as litigation counsel for these types of entities, the firm also understands the unique needs of religious and non-profit groups from the inside having served as interim General Counsel for the Diocese of Orange and now as the General Counsel for the Christ Catholic Cathedral Facilities Corporation, among others. The firm is also proud to have members who serve as officers or directors of various charitable and religious organizations including Mr. Callahan who now maintains a board position with the Wells of Life foundation.
